Ms. BJ Boyd is a freelance Media Consultant/Television Producer. She has produced local programming for cable television as well as commercials for non-profit organizations: stage managed for large awards ceremonies: and has been an extra in films. Ms. Boyd has worked in the emergency management business for 26 years. Her emergency management career has encompassed planning, training, public information, and television production. She has been responsible for assessing needs, designing curriculums, implementing programs, and evaluating their success. Ms. Boyd began her career working for Kentucky Disaster and Emergency Services as a Nuclear Civil Protection Planner and then became the State Training Officer. She later relocated to Mississippi and became the State Training Coordinator and Public Information Officer for the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency. She later became involved with the Emergency Education Network (EENET). She is an award-winning producer providing programming aired on EENET on a regular basis. In addition to EENET, Ms. Boyd is an adjunct faculty member to the Emergency Management Institute (EMI) and Noble Training Center (NTC) teaching various courses. She has produced numerous videos for the Federal Emergency Management Agency and EMI that have been dispersed through their field training. Ms. Boyd holds a bachelor's degree from the University of West Alabama and a master's degree in education from Eastern Kentucky University.
