Designed to assist employees in capitalizing on time spent in meetings, Meeting Management will attempt to help participants to see meetings (if properly managed) as a solution to rather than a cause of problems.
OBJECTIVES
- Distinguish between different meeting formats and purposes.
- Identify factors, which contribute to or detract from efficient and productive meetings.
- Use a variety of techniques and tools to improve meeting management.
- Understand the value of an agenda and be able to construct a meeting agenda for their own use.
- Understand the variety of functional roles that will exist within any meeting.
- Explore typical problems they may have with the structures of regular meetings and explore ways to improve them.
APPROPRIATE FOR: All employees
RECOMMENDED GROUP SIZE: 16-24
DURATION: Four (4) hours
METHODS
- Lecturettes, games, simulations, and exercises will be used to present the content.
- Action planning will be used to transfer learning to specific applicable situations.
- Visuals will include the use of flip charts and hand out materials.
RESULTS
- Participants will be able to recognize problems that exist in their current meetings and identify ways to improve the productivity of these meetings.
